Behind the YouTube Ban
If you want to dig a little behind the Defense Department's ban on postings to YouTube and similar sites via computers connected to the department's computer networks, check out this story by Bill McMichael of Army Times, written with an assist from Army Times ace Gina Cavallaro. Those thinking it's some form of censorship are not seeing the whole picture: turns out it's a bandwidth issue, and for my money, I'd rather see the troops getting the data they need when on the front lines.
