Redskins take WR

The Redskins just made their first selection of the day, taking Michigan State WR Devin Thomas with the 34th overall pick.

Thomas slipped into the second round and the Redskins used the first of their three second-round picks on the 6-1 1/2, 218-pounder.

Thomas started his career at Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College.

He made 79 catches for eight touchdowns last year for the Spartans.

Coffeyville Community College?

This is what the double-headed monster GM duo that is the goggle-eyed wonder-kid Vinny & his lil'-boy cigar-smoking owner can come up with???? Should'a' saved your jet fuel boys.

From what I've seen this one-year-wonder WR drops as many as he catches, and he has an attitude to boot.

Hmmm? Smacks of a mix of Rod Gardener and Mike Westbroken all in one.

I can't criticize this pick, since they seem to be getting first round value, and the obvious linemen were all gone. In mock drafts, this guy was long gone at 21. Plus, they still have a bonus second rounder to use.

The GMing is indeed incredible! Real GMs like Ozzie (the wizard GM) up the road, must look at the 'Skins and laugh. I know I sure do.

The only thing certain is they'll take anything other than what a sane, strategist might.

Take the sexy WRs every time. (The TE they took is more of a WR than TE).

Need is almost desperate on both lines, the O-line is ready for a oldtimers farm and the D-line is about as pedestrian as there is.

So, what do they do with their next two selections?
Pick two more recievers - ofcourse!!!!

I'll bet the farm that before tomorrow ends, they will pick another receiver (if not more).

At least this should quell their lust for Chad Johnson? Knowing them, probably not.

All they'll need now is about 10 footballs. Unfortunately, Dano, they still play the game with one at a time.
