Moments after drafting TE Fred Davis, the Redskins used the No. 51 pick to take Oklahoma WR Malcolm Kelly.
Kelly is 6-4, 219 and instantly gives the Redskins some size at the position. He caught 144 passes during three seasons with the Sooners.
A Redskins contingent, including owner Dan Snyder, coach Jim Zorn and quarterback Jason Campbell, worked out Kelly earlier this week.
Barring a trade, the Redskins are done for the night. They have picks in rounds 3, 4, 6 and 7 (three seventh-round picks) Sunday.

Not a bad start...but they'd better sure up that O-Line, D-Line and Corner position

Not a bad draft for the Redskins. This is a team that has historically, for the last 10 yrs at least, produced very little through this channel. 2 strong WRs, a TE, and some other offense-related people. Let's see what Campbell can do with these weapons. Shame about the defensive side of the ball but the DB from a small school could just pan out.

I like the redskins draft this year. They spent some picks early on to ensure the potency of what was a lackluster offense. I really like the picks of Devin Thomas, Malcolm Kelly and Fred Davis. It'll be interesting to see what Jason Campbell can do with some additional weapons in his arsenal. Hopefully this will open things up for Clinton Portis in the running game as well.
