« Redskins almost there [David Elfin] | Main | And they're under [David Elfin] »

And finally....

The Redskins just cut Brandon Lloyd.

The moody receiver was arguably the biggest bust in Redskins history. He cost Washington a third-round draft pick and a fourth-rounder in a trade with San Francisco and was foolishly given a six-year, $30 million contract.

For all that, Lloyd produced 25 catches, 379 yards and no touchdowns while also ranking as the most unpopular player in the locker room.

Sportswriters are supposed to be objective, but since the rules are a little looser on blogs, let me say: Good riddance.

Finally! What an awful move that was to get him.

Another name to add to the "bonehead" moves under Snyders watch. Lloyd is laughing all the way to the bank. How many more salary cap dollars need to be flushed down the toilet before Snyder finally gets it & hires a GM ?

Knowing that this self-indulged prima donna will not go on to become an all-pro for another NFL team. Can you say hello Arena League? This experiment is just another example of The Danny and The Village Idiot wasting time and money akin to pouring sand down a rat hole.

Does this mean we are seriously after a Big named WR in free agency?

Guys....this has nothing to do with Snyder or Vinnie. This was a Gibbs move, he ran the team in his four years.

Snyder and Vinnie have sucked up until this point and Snyder probably negotiated the contract but Gibbs didn't get it either.

He ran the team. This is on Gibbs!!

Remember that he came from SF, which is also the Vinny hails. Chances are that he was one of the Vinney's pick that stunk up the place just like remember Jim Druckenmiller. This was not the Danny's pick.
