President Bush today said his daughter's upcoming wedding, a week from tomorrow, is consuming a lot of his thoughts.
The president, speaking to a group of people at a technology manufacturing firm near St. Louis, Mo., talked for 20 minutes about the economy, and then said he would take questions.
He said audience members could ask him about anything on his mind.
"I got a lot on my mind by the way," Mr. Bush said, walking around a ring in the middle of the audience, holding a microphone and shrugging. "I'm getting ready to march down the aisle."
Mr. Bush will give away his daughter Jenna to Henry Hager at the Bush family ranch, in Crawford, Texas, on Saturday, May 10.

We have been splashed with news bits to the effect that Bush's daughter is getting married. I think that this is outrageous! According to this White House, we are engaged in the "signature struggle" of our times for our survival. The most major effort along this line is being carried out in Iraq. As this war was conceived, planned and put into effect by her father, how can she in good faith and good conscious get married without having contributed one iota of effort in this signature struggle? The most economically deprived in this country appear to be more patriotic, by far, then she is. Why is that?
Are we willing to now concede that John Kerry was right, when he suggested that those, who don't pursue their education will wind up in Iraq? Are we? After all the smash cat screams following Kerry's comments, it would be difficult to concede the point. Wouldn't it? The lowering of the standards to attract ever more of :them" clearly shows that Kerry was correct from the outset. Let's face it, everyone knew that Kerry was right but it goes to show that we just can't handle the truth, especially when the truth points to questionable deeds.
What we are seeing in Iraq is a class warfare, pure and simple. Otherwise, those, who have the most to lose would be in Iraq trying to prevent al Qaeda from coming over here and taking their vast fortunes. At least one would think that. And, as most of these deep pocket people profess biblical leanings to some degree, surely their ministers are telling them that from those to whom much is given, much is expected. Sadly, from the response we are seeing, their faith in the Holy Word is quite shallow. Isn't it? It baffles me to tears that those who are the most hawkish on the war are contributing the least is sweat , blood and destroyed families!!
I find it reprehensible that President Bush goes in front of one military or ex-military group after another, where he knows that the reception will be polite and the applause dutifully supplied. If he had any level of moral fiber in him, he would go places such as Harvard, MIT, Notre Dame, USC, Stanford, etc., and ask those mostly rich folks kids to (SACRIFICE) a couple of years, go to Iraq and help out their fellow citizens, who happen to be from the wrong side of the economic track, in this titanic signature struggle of our lifetime. What would be more supportive of our troops than that? To see Bush's, Cheney's and yes Rumsfeld's kin folks among others in fatigues in Iraq would be the most supportive thing for our troops already there, many in their third and fourth deployments, which is in and of itself immoral on its face.
Finally, I have read a lot of columns and heard a lot of talk show hosts pushing and pushing this war in Iraq. In most cases, they have never been in the military to lift one finger in defense of this country. Sitting behind their laptops and microphones and taking advantage of the safety and security provided by the sweat, blood and deaths of mostly the poor and middle class, they scream, column after column "let's you and them fight". Yet, I have never seen a column wherein they demanded that our troops be given pay increases commensurate with the great sacrifices being

Can you believe it? The first comment is from some yahoo who is so full of hate for our president that he can't even give Bush's daughter a good blessing on her upcoming wedding.
Yes, we have a nation which has faced the enemy in the face which has tried to bring down European and Western civilization.
Perhaps Big Sky would like to see a media circus at a White House wedding? Jeanna is smart enough not to be dragged into the circus, and I pray that she enjoys as many happy days as a bride as her mother, Laura. Regardless of what any yahoo thinks about George Bush, he is a loving husband and a man who cares about his family. He has been a strong president for us i n the past years, so I pray for his continued good health for years to come.

The media for 8 years have hated President Bush, It even worst than when they toppled President Nixon. The Democratic's are now a pure societist party. The media with the exception of Fox News which is the only news group that reports the news instead of trying to make it what they want. President Bush has Served this country with honor and with total respect. His daughters wedding is a great way for this man to relax and have some fun. As for Bigsky he needs to grow up. If him and the rest of the media do not love this country then they can move to Russia or Turkey or Iran and just see how others live without freedoms. Grow-up God made this country great and we don't need the White House back in the hands of a liar and whore man. Of course thats what the media wants in this country.
