Tornado Warning

Neal Glover died 100 yards shy of the safety of his home, thrashed to death by a monster tornado. He heard no civil defense sirens nor did he receive any benefit from the high-tech disaster warning system that Homeland Security officials have been discussing for years. Two years after President Bush ordered a sweeping technological overhaul of the early alert system for natural disasters and terrorist attacks, the unified system has not been implemented.

Are you familiar with viaRadio? On February 12th when tornados struck Florida the NOAA system failed. The viaRadio system still passed the tornado alert to the entire county. Why dont we look at systems like this in other places?
