Thoresen update

Flyers GM Paul Holmgren just addressed the media here during his team's practice. Patrick Thoresen, who was taken to the hospital last night after Mike Green's shot hit him in the groin, was released from the hospital and is at the team's hotel right now. He had a pair of ultrasounds done, and there were no procedures done. Holmgren even left open the possibility that Thoresen could play tomorrow against the Caps.

He was pretty pessimistic about the possibility of Derian Hatcher's return to the lineup, saying he is probably "doubtful" at this point. Hatcher is trying to come back from a broken leg quicker than expected.

As for the Flyers who are practicing, here are the lines:

Prospal-Briere-Hartnell
Upshall-Carter-Knuble-Tolpeko
Umberger-Richards-Lupul
Cote-Dowd-Kapanen

R.J. Umberger moved into Thoresen's place after the injury, and if doesn't play tomorrow it looks like he'll stay there and Sami Kapanen will take his place in the lineup.
