The Capitals were back on the ice for their first full-squad workout since Saturday's win over Florida.
"We had to get back at it after two days off and get the legs back and the mind thinking about hockey," defenseman Tom Poti said. "We needed a good, hard skate."
The forward lines:
Ovechkin-Backstrom-Kozlov
Cooke-Fedorov-Semin
Gordon-Laich-Fleishmann-Fehr (Fehr could be the odd man out. Also interesting to see Gordon moved off the line with Brashear and Bradley)
Bradley-Steckel-Brashear-Laing (Laing figures to be the odd man out.)
The defensive pairings were a hodgepodge. The five on the ice were Green, Poti, Eminger, Erskine and Lepisto.
After practice, injured defensemen Shaone Morrison and Jeff Schultz took the ice for about a 30-minute workout with assistant coach Dean Evason. Both termed their status day to day, but they obviously hope to benefit from the series not starting until Friday. Schultz admitted his status would be dicey if the series started Wednesday night.

I Laich-Flash-Gordon!

I'd switch Bradley and Gordon. As is, 3rd line is a bit underpowered to go against the Flyers, and the 4th a bit suspect defensively. Plus, Bradley has actually shown hints of offensive ability, and that fits much better with Laich and Flash more than with Steckel and Brashear.
