Playoff tickets on sale

Look what landed just about as soon as the final horn went off: The Caps' announcement of Playoff Tickets going on sale -- immediately.

Worth noting: The Stanley Cup Playoffs start on Wednesday, but the Caps won't be able to start until Thursday (at the earliest) because the Wizards have a home game on Wednesday -- and, for what it's worth, on Saturday.

Capitals Playoff Tickets On Sale Now

Tickets for round 1 (Games 1 and 2) of the Stanley Cup playoffs are now available

ARLINGTON, Va. -- The Washington Capitals have announced that tickets for the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs are now on sale. With the team's 3-1 victory over the Florida Panthers tonight at Verizon Center, the Capitals clinched their first Southeast Division title since 2001, securing the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference and home-ice advantage in the first round of the Stanley Cup quarterfinals. Washington will be making its first playoff appearance since 2003. Dates and times for the first round will be determined on Sunday evening.

Tickets for Games 1 and 2 of the first round are available at the Verizon Center box office for fans in attendance at tonight's game as well as for purchase through all Ticketmaster channels, including Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster outlets or Ticketmaster by phone (202-397-SEAT).
