Here's one of those stories that makes you realize just how complicated the immigration issue can be.
The Arizona Daily Star in Tucson has a story about a 9-year-old boy who was rescued by an illegal alien after the boy's mother died in a car crash.
The illegal alien, Jesus Manuel Cordova, tried to help free the boy's mother, who was still alive but stuck in the van that had tumbled off the side of the road, but he was unable to save her.
So he gave the boy his jacket, built a bonfire and stayed with him throughout the night. They were found the next day by a group of hunters, who called for help.
The Border Patrol was the first to arrive, and Cordova turned himself over to them. He has been voluntarily returned to Mexico.
"These people take a knock from a lot of people and yet they are willing to sacrifice getting caught to help a kid," Santa Cruz County Sheriff Tony Estrada told the paper.
Oh, and the whole thing happened on the great American holiday of Thanksgiving.

One example out of hundreds of thousands that are a completely different story. The prisons are full of those other stories. The man did what any decent human being would have done regardless of the status of either the victim or the rescuer. These feel good fuzzy stories obscure the real and pressing issues that out of control illegal aliens are causing our society.

This story is completly irrelevant to what race or what country you are from. Sure he was an illegal and he was a Mexican and he did something good, so? Anyone with a natural human instict would have done the same in his place. Not all illegals are bad but just because their here and we have an occasional one "helping our society" doesn't mean that their all good and that we should automatically allow all illegals into America. He was a good person who went about the wrong way getting into America. This was probably because the list for a green card is so long and jumping the border was faster. I do give him credit for turning himself in, that takes work. On his part he is a good person but he's not representing all illegals at this time and I think that if there were other illegals at the same time and place they might not have done the same thing.
