Former Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee has formed a new Political Action Committee called "Huck PAC," aimed at helping federal and state GOP candidates.

Huckabee is seeking to capitalize off his newly acquired star power he garnered as he jammed on his guitar and roped faux cattle during his failed presidential campaign.
"We launch the new Web site today as we formally push the lift-off button for HUCK-PAC, which will enable us to help Senator McCain become our next President, and to assist conservative, pro-life and pro-family candidates to Senate and House seats," Huckabee said in a statement sent out last night. "The Web site will not only preserve our online community, but enlarge it and encourage it to be a force for freedom, faith, and family."
Huckabee's site features a blog, where yesterday he was singing the praises of a flat tax rate, a central plank in his campaign platform.
The site also requests donors to pitch in for his hand-picked candidates, thus far a group that includes Bob Clegg, a New Hampshire House candidate, Rep. John Linder, Georgia Republican, and Arkansas state senator Gilbert Baker.

Mike Huckabee has given Republicans hope and excitement about the future again. He is the politician of a lifetime and his future is boundless! The new huckpac.com is a terrific way for people to become more informed about the leaders on a state level. The president does not rule without the house and senate so who we send there is critical!. Huckabee has brought political awareness to hundreds of thousands of people who weren't involved before. The first sign of a great leader is to surround yourself with the best. It will be a test to Senator McCain's good judgement to see whether he will pick the very best, Mike Huckabee as his vp.

Huckabee is exactly what we need for our country. He is the first candidate I have ever contributed to because he's the first politician I ever believed in. Any PAC that he forms I will certainly be checking out. Huckabee 2012!
