Suppose that Barack Obama's and Hillary Clinton's current political situations were reversed:
After having lost 13 of 21 contests to Hillary Clinton on Super Tuesday, Obama went on to lose seven geographically varied primaries and caucuses in a row to her by near-landslide margins with the prospect of losing another two a week later. Of Obama's mere eight victories in the last 28 states, two (including one megastate) were in states that he has called home and another was in a populous state that neighbors his current "home" state. On top of all this, his fundraising, after a transitory spike upward after Super Tuesday, has fallen significantly behind Clinton's.
Under these conditions, does anyone out there think that we would NOT be hearing calls from the Clinton campaign and its loyalists for Obama to start thinking about dropping out of the race in the interests of party unity?

This just proves how much the Democratic Party and the Democratic establishment is in the tank for Hillary Clinton. That's the nice thing about primaries. Once the the senior party officials see that the wind is blowing for Obama they are not going to hesitate to throw Hillary over the side. Party loyalty will end once they understand that their political futures are tied to this new and formidable force. Pity that Obama is just an empty suit but, hey, a win is a win and Hillary is going down soon.
