'It is what it is'

2:12 p.m.

McNamee said he didn't think the lies he has told should influence the perceived credibility of his testimonies in the Mitchell Report. A member of the committee said, "Shame on you."

Mitchell Report Attorney Charles Sheeler said that all Sen. Mitchell wanted was "the truth." He described the meticulous process his team went through to make sure every detail of the report was accurate.

"There are a lot of open questions," said Rep. Tierney, talking about the inconsistencies the committee has unveiled.

"Is it what it is." A committee member said this phrase, which McNamee has used to mean "I'm telling the whole truth," should be talked about more thoroughly in the Mitchell Report.

McNamee said he has no intention of writing a book about his experience battling with Clemens.

Clemens read a statement from his wife, which said she received HGH from McNamee after he told her it was legal. Clemens said his wife feels "like a pawn."

A committee member, after showing several pictures of Clemens throughout his career, commented that she didn't think Clemens looked any bigger.

"Is it what it is." A committee member said this phrase, which McNamee has used to mean "I'm telling the whole truth," should be talked about more thoroughly in the Mitchell Report.

This "committee member" should be absolutely ashamed of himself to refer to this as New York slang and to then reference speaking to an associate from New York to confirm its meaning.

Are you joking. This is what we have come to? There are days in my life that I am ashamed of my government and ashamed to be an American. Today is one of those days.

"McNamee said he didn't think the lies he has told should influence the perceived credibility of his testimonies in the Mitchell Report."

In other words: I may be a lier, but I'm an honest man! You can trust me.

"There are days in my life that I am ashamed of my government and ashamed to be an American. Today is one of those days."

Bob, from what I've read in your posts here, you're always ashamed to be an American. Why don't you do yourself a favor and leave the country that causes you so much distress? Why don't you become a citizen of another country that isn't as shameful to you? The stress reduction alone will help you stay healthier, let alone happier.

Hey Bob, I am with Ray. We are ashamed that you are an American too. Why don't you pack your crap, move out of your mother's basement and head for paradise. Let me guess...I'll bet you love Cuba and Castro, Hugo and Venezuela but you are ashamed of being American. Did that sum it up? Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
