Clemens' hearing resumes

1:48 p.m.

At 1:21 p.m. the committee has resumed the hearing.

Staring off is Rep. Davis, who once again is addressing the question of Clemens' attendance at a barbeque at Jose Canseco's house nine years ago — McNamee said Clemens was there, Clemens said he was not, though he could have "dropped by."

Rep. Davis began questioning McNamee on his Ph.D. McNamee said he earned a Ph.D in behavioral science at Columbus University.

Rep. John Duncan, committee member, said the Mitchell Report brought the issue of steroid use to the minds of American families.

He asked Clemens why he didn't meet with Sen. Mitchell, and Clemens responded that he was never told that Sen. Mitchell wanted to speak to him. Clemens said that he is a very easy person to find, and Sen. Mitchell could have found him if he wanted to.

Rep. Bruce Braley, committee member, questioned Clemens use of B12, saying he has no need of it. He also questioned why he allowed McNamee to do chiropractic on him when he is not a doctor of chiropractics. Clemens responded that he trusted McNamee.
