The former Georgia Democrat declares her Green Party candidacy:
Ten-second analysis: If McKinney wins the Green nomination, it's bad news for Democrats. Any attempt by the eventual Democratic Party presidential nominee to "move to the center," especially on defense and security issues, will be eagerly exploited by McKinney, who has a reasonably high level of national name recognition and more than a decade of liberal congressional credentials.

Cynthia McKinney is nothing but a troublemaker of the worst kind. Bad for everyone, both democrat and republican.

McKinney doesn't have the name recognition, let alone the charisma and the intelligence, of a Ralph Nader, so as a third party candidate she's lucky if anyone (even in the Green Party) listens to her. She'll be about as influential in this race as Tom Tancredo, and we all saw what happened to him. I doubt that anyone will care what she does and she isn't going to take any votes away from anyone.

Ms. McKinney is very entertaining ... dumb as a box of rocks but entertaining.

McKinney is a traitor and a Liar

You've got to be kidding. McKinney is a national joke. Even to liberals. Good for laughs, and as a warning to your kids: "This is what happens when you don't do your homework."

If there was an IQ level that one must exceed to be a member of Congress (and, it's probably a good idea), let's say about 85 - she would have never been allowed to serve.

she left out the group with the highest casualty rate in the war....al Qaeda....but, of course, a hubristic spendthrift buffoon like mckinney wouldn't let such facts slow her down. I'm surprised she's not the Democrat front-runner!

She has no illusions of winning. This isn't about winning for her. It is about the money she can raise and then keep for herself, plus perhaps gets her back into the newspapers, which nobody is reading anymore.

Why are people as pathetic and useless as this woman allowed to even talk?

Listen to yourselves. All the backhanded racists comments and negativity does nothing but show your true colors. I'm sure you guys look for and will vote for someone JUST LIKE YOU.

Since when does even the Green Party endorse such a hardcore racist as McKinney? The woman's an idiot.

I didn't hear anyone mention race at all, simply that many find her an embarrassment to the species, which is not limited to liberals... there is a subspecies of conservatives that are just as embarrassing and noxious.

Didn't the same electorate that said no to Iraq also say no to this poor deluded ice cream?

I've never heard a democrat or indenpendant mention her. Only you and some of these conservatives commenting. Maybe they support her because they don't seem to support any of their own candidates.

Conventional wisdom suggests that any Green candidacy will hurt the Dems. She could win a few points of the vote, too. She's a mad woman.

"I am a Green". How about that she just drop the 'a' in that sentence? That would be more appropriate.
Oh, and the Republicans DID NOT STEAL THE ELECTION in Ohio or anywhere else in 2004. Anybody who thinks that is a lunatic.
It's people like McKinney who perpetuate racial problems in America.
