Video: Stossel on global fearmongering

There is a reason John Stossel remains one of the most popular reporters on TV:

(Hat-tip: Jawa Report.)

At Newsbusters, John Stephenson writes:

The heartbreaking part of this report is to see the reaction of the children being interviewed. They have obviously been indoctrinated with only one side of the story to the point of fear.
Children "indoctrinated" in public schools? Say it ain't so.

Great piece John. It's about time somebody in the mainstream media spoke up for common sense in this overhyped, one-sided 'debate'. There is a whole generation of young people being brainwashed by Al Gore and his inaccurate movie. He should be ashamed and eventually will be seen as one who distorted the facts for his own personal gain.

Global warming boils down to this: French President Jacques Chirac said during a speech at The Hague in November of 2000 that Kyoto represents "the first component of an authentic global governance." - Senator Inhofe
Energy right now is carbon based. Tax the carbon, you control the energy consumption. Control the energy consumption, you control the economy. Control the economy, you can redistribute the global wealth. As long as they "fit" into their model, countries will be allowed to develop economically, fight it and the global government backed by World Bank will cut you off. This is why the debate is over, they can't afford sunk costs in a state of fear investment.

When I was a teenager in the 1970's, I read a number of articles that scientists believed that we were entering a "New Ice Age" because of all the cold winters we were having. Either TIME or NEWSWEEK magazine even did feature stories on how we would all freeze to death by the end of the 21st Century. Now "scientists" are saying that we're all going to broil to death because it's getting too hot. I wish somebody would make up their mind!
