There is a house in New Orleans

Did David Vitter's pay-for-play habits precede his previously reported transactions with the D.C. Madam? The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports:

U.S. Senator David Vitter visited a Canal Street brothel several times beginning in the mid-1990s, paying $300 per hour for services at the bordello after he met the madam at a fishing rodeo that included prostitutes and other politicians, according to Jeanette Maier, the "Canal Street Madam" whose operation was shut down by a federal investigators in 2001.

After they met, Maier said Vitter became a customer at the Mid-City brothel. He made several visits, she said, but had stopped coming before federal agents raided the brothel.

Hmmm. Maybe the New Orleans madam is just trying to cash in on the publicity?
Maier's attorney, Vinny Mosca, upon learning of his client's allegation on Tuesday, said he had never known Vitter to visit the brothel or heard Maier mention his name.

"Through all my association representing Jeanette in the case, his (Vitter's) name never came up. It's not on the list. He was not caught on the wiretaps. That doesn't mean he wasn't (at the brothel), but in all this time I never knew him to be. To my knowledge he didn't go to the brothel." Mosca said.

Beyond her assertion in an interview Tuesday afternoon that Vitter was an occasional customer, Maier offered no evidence or documents to support her claim.

Absent any evidence to support her claim, she's just a criminal running her mouth. But she's trying to do the "hooker with a heart of gold" act, or at least trying to depict Mr. Vitter as the "john with a heart of gold":
At the New Orleans brothel, Maier said Vitter spent time with several women, but preferred one in particular named Wendy. She said all the girls that were with Vitter described him as a kind, respectful man, who did not talk down to them or use drugs.

"I'm not out to ruin a marriage, I'm out to save a man," Maier said. "I want his wife to know he's a good man, I want his children to know he's a good father. If he had sex out of wedlock, so what? At least he stayed with his children."

Dan Riehl does some research, and discovers that Maier pimped her own daughter:
As the madam of the Canal Street Brothel, in New Orleans, Jeanette Maier was a businesswoman whose business was women. Unfortunately, this also included her daughter, Monica. By age 15, Monica had started stripping with her mother, and by 23, she was turning tricks and paying mom and grandma's steep 50 percent commission.
Yeah, I'm sorry, but I find it hard to take the word of someone who'd turn their own daughter into a prostitute -- and then take a 50 percent commission. Does the phrase "millstone around the neck" ring any bells?

It's a pity that we find time to dwell on the personal life of a man who may or may not have been involved in a sordid business. Attending a rodeo does not a sinner make. The media cannot report this malicious gossip without paying a penalty. It's time for everyone to grow up.

It would be easier to dismiss this woman were it not for the clear allegations that have been made by MANY other people throughout the years pertaining to just this issue. It is also important to point out that the people who have been making these assertions are mostly republicans - not some rabid liberals with an agenda that seem to be the source of every GOP scandal.

Let us not forget that Vitter only admitted to the D.C. transgressions after faced with overwhelming evidence. Does anyone else believe, absent the phone records, that Vitter would have admitted using the D.C. Madam's services? I sure don't.

So let's see, Vitter has been caught lying about this issue, so far Maier has not. She certainaly has done some scandalous things - but who's worse the person who allows their daughter to be a whore or the degenerate who actually performs the act that makes her one? Vitter is the latter - nobody would be a whore if his ilk didn't proposition to pay them for sex.

BTW: Several prominant republicans in Louisana have indicated that they personally know of several other similar (implied worse) issues that have not even come to light yet. This guy is a pervert!

Nothing like GOP consistency - "it's not wrong if was done by an "Honorable Man" (read: loyal republican). Pathetic.

Hee, hee, nicely put, .."after he met the madam at a fishing rodeo that included prostitutes and other politicians,.." About says it all!

I've know Ms. (Madam) Maier for over 20 years and never known her to lie or be deceitful. I truly believe in her heart because of his past being forgiven she was just trying to let people know that we needed him to help rebuild New Orleans. Because of the propaganda and hyprocrosy this has been blown way out of proportion. And being her friend may I ad, I know she's telling the truth. You have to know her hear to know her. So what ever bad you say shows how little you know. She NEVER put her daughter out at 15. ... All of you have been miled by the media and lies.

dan riehl who aor you???? do you know monica or jeanette??

jaenette maier is not trying to cash in on anything she is just stating the facts and truth.
so dan riehl dont print what you dont know
