President Bush, in his remarks to open a newly renovated White House press briefing room, decided not to use a line about tossing White House reporters out of their seats.
"There's no truth to the rumor some of those new seats can be ejected by pressing a button at Tony [Snow]'s podium," the president's prepared remarks read.
That line - crossed out with black marker - was caught by a White House photographer who ventured out to take a picture from behind the podium before Bush took the stage.

Humor is a relief valve for stressful situations. It is interesting that the President felt it would not be appropriate with the press. We know the President has a sense of humor.
