Maybe the results are well-known to many, but a new Rasmussen Poll released today says the majority of Americans, 56 percent, believe that members of Congress are sell-outs.
The report says only 16 percent of Americans think most congressional votes are not for sale.
And 67 percent of Americans believe a significant campaign contribution, from $10,000 to $100,000, can influence which way a congressman votes or a governor rules.
Also, 66 percent of Americans want to reform term limits for members of Congress.
Americans consider car salesmen to be slightly more trustworthy than members of Congress. Car salesmen have a 5 percentage-point advantage, 39 percent to 34 percent.
