What we can learn from McCain's fundraising e-mails

John McCain today sent out a fundraising e-mail pointing to a Hamas official's comments about preferring Sen. Barack Obama in this year's election — the latest in a series of fundraising e-mails trying to tap everyday events.

"We need change in America, but not the kind of change that wins kind words from Hamas, surrenders in Iraq and will hold unconditional talks with Iranian President Ahmadinejad," McCain's deputy campaign manager writes in the plea for donations.

It follows McCain's use of Gen. David Petraeus's testimony last week for fundraising, and suggests McCain is trying to find a way to tap into donors who are also fans of President Bush's foreign policy. That Bush fundraising machine is still the dream for McCain's fundraising apparatus, and going after Obama's potential weak points on U.S.-Israel relations is one sure way of finding elusive common ground with them.

McCain can use the money. He will file his monthly fundraising report this weekend, though campaign officials told the Associated Press earlier this month they expected to top $15 million for the month of March. That's still way less than Obama's $40 million take.

Good luck to McCain. Considering the Republicans in general seem to be holding their noses at the idea of even voting for him... he has his work cut out, if he's trying to get money from their coffers.

John McCain today sent out a fundraising e-mail pointing to a Hamas official's comments about preferring Sen. Barack Obama in this year's election---

Given the fact that Obama has not only unequivocally rejected the Hamas endorsement, but has also referred to Hamas as a terrorist organization, should the above assertion perhaps be viewed as yet another sign of McCain's obviously escalating confusion about what is going on in the world?

It will be recalled that McCain has repeatedly confused the principals and factions in Southwest Asia and the Middle East and does not appear to have a clue as to what is transpiring in that part of the world.

Barack Obama says he will talk with our enemies....McCain is a coward with a gun....and right now he wants to be the boss of the biggest guns in the world....the USA.....

diplomacy costs nothing, war costs everything and creates generations of division and bitterness...

diplomacy brought down the berlin wall, ended cold war and the cuban missle crisis among many other things in our history....

Shooting first and asking questions later is what has put us as the target for other countries in the first place....we need a leader, a diplomat, a change agent.....vote obama08

Does not Gov. Charlie also do the same here to ?, every 4 years ?, and NOW wants to be the VP of America also with this person below ?. AS YOU SEE HERE...... We are a TRUE - "Ronald Wilson Reagan (February 6, 1911 June 5, 2004) was the 40th President of the United States (19811989) and the 33rd Governor of California (19671975)" - REPUBLICAN, and not a R.I.N.O. / Liberal......

Dear Walking ATM Friend's that has million's or deep pocket's, and are not the semi-poor middle class that's about two paycheck's or a illness away from being homeless and just can't make ends meet working two job's, or living off of a Social security fixed income and can't afford healthcare, or the poor:

This week, I, US Senator John McCain laid out an economic plan aimed at providing immediate and long-term relief for all American families. One of the key components of John McCain's plan is a suspension of the federal gas tax on gasoline from Memorial Day to Labor Day of this year. Even though this is only a bandage and a quick fix. The effect of this "gas tax holiday" will be an immediate economic stimulus - taking a few dollars off the price of a tank of gas every time you fill up. And because the cost of gas affects the price of food, "AS WELL AS THE TRUCKING STRIKE", plus the waist of airlines using fuel, packaging and just about everything else, this immediate step may spread economic relief to every family in America that drives a HIGH GAS MILEAGE LARGE PICK UP TRUCK WITH A WRAPAROUND-BODY (aka) SUV and car. Instead of also adding on a "price freeze and gas rationing as done back with President Nixon". What we NEED TO DO is shut dowm all Public Schools, and do away with that TAX "socialist utopian" waist, and get back to Home Schooling, but that would cost me a lot of votes, so I won't push for it to let the tax payers keep more of their money and lower property taxes all at the same time. So my walking ATM so called friends, this election will be shaped by the big issues we face as a nation, that I don't seem to want to talk about at all nor vote in and on them in the Senate, just the small ones. To effectively communicate our solutions to these issues, I will need a united base of support and financial resources to communicate my message to the American people. That's why I ask you to join my campaign by making a financial contribution by following this link right away. I am "DOUBLE DIPPING" as in collecting a Senator's pay plus the perk's, and also paying myself a HUGE financial campaign contribution from using the GOP as well as from you, as a walking ATM", while running for president to tackle the most pressing challenges facing our nation today, and our economy is certainly one of our top challenges. The voters of our country will have a clear choice in November between my vision and policies for our country - rooted in our shared conservative principles - and the tax and spend policies of my Democratic opponents. I am not worried about illegal alien's over here as true American's are, and I am trying to figure out a way to make them legal, instead of deporting them all up and sending them back, to get more votes, so I sit on my hand's and hope a lot it'll just go away. Whether it's the economy, the struggle against radical Islamic extremism or national security issues, I stand ready to offer bold solutions to our nation's challenges. I never write REAL TEETH into crime law's to put criminal's away longer and to use as a good tool, even though crime is taking over our Great Country, but I could. The gas-tax holiday is just one example, and as I have always done, I will make my case to every American who will listen. I will not confine myself to the comfort of speaking only to those who agree with me. I will make my case to all the people. I will listen to those who disagree. I will try to persuade them. I will debate. I will learn from them. And I will fight every moment of every day for what I believe is right for this country, and I will not yield. Please join me today in the fight for what is right for this country by making a donation of $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000 - any amount up to the legal limit of $2,300. Your generosity is greatly appreciated, and I look forward to what will surely be a great contest in November. While I ignore the people that elected me into the US Senate and get rich from this cause. Plus I will NOT co-sponsor a Bill that Bill Clinton VETOED in Office in his second term in Office, that will raise up "the Federal Poverty Wage Guideline" to $75,000 for a Married Couple without dependents, and get rid of that marriage penalty Tax, so you to could use and also enjoy the many of city, county, State and Federal Program's out there for the help you really need. Plus what do I know about windmill's, to make power for you for free.

Thank you,

John McCain
