That's almost Democrat-type money

Ron Paul raised nearly $20 million in the final fundraising quarter of 2007, the second-best quarter any Republican has had in this election so far.

The top quarter so far came from Mitt Romney, who in the January-March period raised nearly $21 million. But both he and Rudy Giuliani had been showing a slide since the summer. Neither has announced final totals for 2007, and the official reports aren't due to the Federal Election Committee until the end of January.

But campaigns are free to boast, and Paul's campaign released a statement touting his figures.

"Only Dr. Paul has the ability to inspire Americans to contribute and take action that is necessary if Republicans want to defeat the Democrats in November," said his campaign chairman, Kent Snyder.

More than half of Paul's take came from two one-day blitzes, Nov. 5 and Dec. 16, which supporters organized to coincide with Guy Fawkes Day and the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party.

Paul keeps a running tote board on his Web site, and as of 10 a.m. East Coast time had raised more than $15,000 in the new year.

The dollar slid across the board on Friday as data showing a 9 percent decline in sales of new U.S. homes last month heightened concern about the economy, putting the greenback on track for its worst week in more than a year.
The housing report, which was weaker than economists had expected, also bolstered the case for more Federal Reserve interest rate cuts in 2008. Earlier this week, the S&P/Case-Shiller index showed a record decline in U.S. home prices in October.

This is what's happening to YOUR house. All the 'money' and 'equity' you thought you had saved - eliminated! The equity through falling house prices - and the money because we are DEBASING OUR CURRENCY. That low fed rate you're reading about gets created by printing money and lending it to people. With more money, the money YOU have is worth LESS. So your money is worth less and your property is worth less - where can you turn to keep ahead of inflation? I think you BETTER turn to Dr. Paul. He's the ONLY one running that has a HOPE of being able to deal with this.

Who donated to Mitt?
Who donated to Ron Paul?

Please mention where Mitt's money is coming from.
Thanks.

The Revolution is here and only you can make a difference.

Romney's campaign money is mainly his own.

As in everything else the real first is Ron Paul whose best-quarter total was reached by the spontaneous efforts of hundreds of thousands of self-motivated individual donors who rightly demand their country back, which is the exact opposite of what MSM want. Tough luck, MSM.

"The top quarter so far came from Mitt Romney, who in the January-March period raised nearly $21 million."

How much of that did he loan himself? That's the main difference. No loans to himself. No debt. Debt-free $20 Million. Huge difference.

The people (130,000+) have spoken... With their wallets! Next, they will be speaking with their votes.

Way to Go Ron Paul, his supporters and the freedom revolution! Btw, you reported that Romney had a $21 million quarter. Did you fail to mention or incorporate the money he lent himself that quarter or is that of little signifigance?
Hillary got 20 million too, from corporations and special interests. Ron Paul got it from 130,000 different people all lunatic fringe Paulites.... Id rather be a Paulite than a Clintonite, Obamanut, Romneyite,Ghoulianni,or Macainite. Why doesn't the msm use any of those names for their supporters?
Soon: President Ron Paul!

This is going to be a very exciting year to be America. Republicans and Democrats coming together to support Ron Paul.

I would point out that Mitt Romney's campaign did not raise most of that $21 million. Most of it he contributed to his campaign himself as if he is trying to buy the election. Very different than Ron Paul whose contributions have come from 100,000 donors and average about $100.
