We should have seen this fight coming when news hit yesterday that Sylvester Stallone was backing Sen. John McCain for president.
Chuck Norris has been a prominent backer of Mike Huckabee, and the action star recently said he thought McCain, at 71, was too old to be president. At last night's debate in Florida Huckabee said the only reason he didn't disagree at the time was fear.
"I was standing with him and I didn't disagree with him at the time, because I was standing next to him. It's as simple as that. This is a guy who can put this foot on that side of my face, and there's nothing I can do about it," Huckabee said.
McCain then chimed in that he was going to do something about the pesky Norris: "Well, now that Sylvester Stallone has endorsed me, I'm sending him over to take care of Chuck Norris right away, and I'm going to get him."
For good measure, McCain added he would also deploy another recent endorser to deal with Chuck: "Stormin' Norman, General Schwartzkopf, has endorsed me as well. I'm very honored. We'll send him, too."
Any bets who wins?

Celebrities are two more votes thats all. What counts is the record and I was NOT impressed with McCains Gang of 14 deal. It was congressional status quo when we needed something to break the Democrats obstructionism and blame politics.

Huck-N-Chuck are a losing team and so is Mc-Sly. McCain is a Kennedy in Pachyderm's clothing and so is just a born-again Jimmy Carter. Mc-Sly might be able to win in an election against a Hillary/Hussein Democrat nominee but he would make conservatives and the country miserable for four years ensuring no re-election and a turn-over of the Whitehouse to a dem in 2012.
The Huck-n-Chuck just plain can't win, period. I like my pastors leading my church no my politics or my country, the two do not mix. I do not want my leader making decisions on Israel and the middle east based in scripture but rather based on what is strategically in the best interest of the country. Huck doesn't know the region as well as he touts either. In the last debate he mention the the Iraqi WMD may have existed but was secreted out to "Jordan" before the invasion. What?? That has never been spoken about anywhere. Jordan is our strongest ally in the region next to Israel. It was suspected at one time and maybe true that some WMD was smuggled in to Syria before the war but that is a big difference from accusing an ally of taking the stuff. What a Dolt! Preacher's know nothing about business, foreign affairs or fighting wars. Huck's big economic idea in the debate was to "widen I-95" up an down the coast. Well if had been awake when the Huckabus riding through SC, he would notice that is already being done but you just don't put a major interstate HWY under construction from end to end all at the same time because it would be somewhat of a traffic problem. Huck is a great story teller and he should stick to telling building morals with his quaint tales at his church.
Romney is the only choice to take the Dems down. He is highly electable first of all. Second, he has actual business experience, not just government psuedo-budget-accounting-spending experience like Mc-Sly. Romney has re-world business success which the Huck as never had and knows nothing about. As for war fighting ability, being a POW does not make you a better fighting man or executive decision maker. It makes you a person to be honored for your service but I know lots of honorable vets that I would not vote to be president. FDR took us through our biggest war ever and he was not a soldier. At the Commander in Chief level, being a good executive who surrounds himself with well qualified people only has to be able to make the decisions based the best interest of the country; he does not have to command the forces. Ronald Reagan won the Cold War and he never served either. So I don't care that Romney was never a military man, neither was the ever popular and always disgraceful Bill Clinton. I certainly believe Romney would far exceed the military leadership of Bill, Hillary or Obama, easily. Romney stands on the issues right where republicans want their candidate to stand. He is pro-life, Pro Win the War, Pro Secure the Border, Anti-Amnesty, Pro-business, Pro-Tax Reductions, Pro-Growth, Pro-America. The only drawback to Romney is he is a Mormon from the northeast. Being a north-easterner from liberal Massachusetts, makes him automatically suspect in the conservative south and add the strangeness of being a Mormon really concerns Southern Baptist sensibilities. However, you don't see Romney going to the pulpit in a Mormon church while on the campaign trail or even trying to seek Mormon endorsements as Huckabee has. Romney separates his faith from his politics as he should. So his faith is really a non-issue yet Baptist preachers everywhere are lobbying against him. He who is without sin cast the first stone but then again Baptist preachers in the south are well know for not always practicing what they preach, just ask Jimmy Swaggart and various and sundry more.
Wake-up Republicans! Romney is the man, like it or not. He is best qualified in all areas hands down and I have no doubt he will trounce the Hillary/Hussein ticket. If Romney picks up Fred as a Vice president, he will be the conservative dream come true. Romney is also a fighter and if you don't think this election will be a battle, you are mistaken. There is enough dirt to bury both Hillary and Hussein Obama and the Republican candidate must be willing to bury them. Mc-sly and Hillary are big buddies and Huckabee just want to give her a hug and convert Obama. Hillary will hit the campaign for president with all her claws flailing about at whomever is in her way and a real street fight is who can and will take it to her from the high ground is what is needed to beat her. After all, for Republicans, is that what this election is all about? Stopping Hillary/Hussein, winning the war, growing the economy, stopping illegal aliens and getting the federal government off your back and stop them from taxing you to keep you skinny, taxing you more if you smoke, taxing you more to stop global warming etc...
If not go a head and vote for Mc-Sly, and sell you country down the river because he will tax us on Global Warming, limit your freedom of speech with more McCain Feingold, let more illegals in the country and give them citizenship etc.. ad nauseum.
