On the same afternoon Greivis Vasquez's decision to stick around for his junior year became permanent, word comes Shane Walker will transfer.

The freshman averaged 0.5 points and 1.0 rebounds for Maryland, and this move shifts Maryland back to 12 scholarships for next year --- a number that, if this offseason has taught anything, is subject to change.

He's also the first Maryland player to transfer out since another foreign big man --- Hassan Fofana --- left in 2004.
