Start with Bad Idea No. 1:
Reuters News Agency says the Hillary Nutcracker is No. 2 on the bad gifts list at Stupid.com, but surely the Clinton campaign will demand a recount.
Now for some good ideas:
- The 2008 "Great American Conservative Women" Calendar from the Clare Booth Luce Policy Institute. Features Michelle Malkin, Ann Coulter, Bay Buchanan and more.
- "In The Face of Evil" — This two-hour DVD, which chronicles Ronald Reagan's battle against communism, was named Best Documentary at the 2004 Liberty Film Festival. The film is based on Peter Schweizer's 2002 book, "Reagan's War: The Epic Story of His Forty Year Struggle and Final Triumph Over Communism." The book and the DVD together would make a sweet package under the Christmas tree for the Reagan buff in your family.
- "The Death of the Grown-up: How America's Arrested Development Is Bringing Down Western Civilization," by Diana West, columnist for The Washington Times.
- "Victims of Che Guevara" poster — The communist face that launched a million hippie T-shirts re-done to include the faces of his victims, available from the Young America's Foundation.
- "What's So Great About Christianity?" by Dinesh D'Souza — Earlier this month, I heard D'Souza give a passionate lecture about his new book, which is arguably his best since "Illiberal Education."
- "The Birth of Christ" — A classical cantata by Andrew T. Miller, with a narration by Liam Neeson based on the gospel of Luke.
