Outfielder Elijah Dukes, on a rehab stint at Class AAA Columbus, was ejected from today's game with Lehigh Valley in the sixth inning, shortly after he was called out on strikes for the second time in the game. Home plate umpire Jason Klein also tossed Clippers manager Tim Foli.
Dukes was playing center field for Columbus, and was replaced by Ryan Langerhans.
Also, right-hander Jason Bergmann pitched six shutout innings for Columbus, allowing three hits and two walks while striking out five. Bergmann now has a 14-inning scoreless streak for the Clippers.
