Chris Marrero and Michael Burgess, two of the organization's top prospects, were given a chance to play in today's big-league game, and both 19-year-olds just came through big-time.
Marrero, the first-round draft pick in 2006, doubled down the right-field line off Cleveland lefty Scott Lewis. Burgess, a "sandwich" pick in 2007, followed with his own double to the right-field corner, scoring Marrero.
You'll be reading plenty more about both of these guys in tomorrow's paper (and probably for years to come).
Still in the bottom of the seventh, Nats now leading 9-0 in a rout.
And in Winter Haven, the Tribe leads 4-0 after six. Collin Balester replaced Matt Chico and one earned run (a homer) and two hits in 2 1/3 innings.

I really enjoy the coverage. I'm looking forward to reading more about Marrero and Burgess. I loved getting the info on Jaime. The more prospect coverage the better.

Word is that cuts were today. Any idea who didn't make it?
