Nats lose, 4-3 when Chad Cordero serves up a two-run homer to Geoff Blum in the top of the ninth. Afterward, the club announced some more roster moves...
Odalis Perez, who tossed six innings of two-run ball, didn't walk a batter and struck out six, had his contract purchased. That means he's definitely in the rotation, and as we've been saying for a week or two now, he remains on schedule to start Opening Night.
Also, the Nats placed three players on the 15-day DL: Shawn Hill (forearm), Wily Mo Pena (oblique) and Ryan Wagner (shoulder). Before anyone gets worried about Hill, he still could be activated in time to start April 13 and serve as Washington's fifth starter.
That's all from a newsy night at Space Coast Stadium. Talk to you tomorrow from Port St. Lucie.
