Homer-happy first [Ben Goessling]

As if today hasn't been news-heavy enough already, the Nationals-Astros game got off to an eventful start.

Miguel Tejada hit an Odalis Perez pitch to the deepest part of the park for a 1-0 Astros lead.

Ryan Zimmerman followed with an equally impressive shot in the bottom of the first, hitting a two-run shot to right center off Chris Sampson. It's 2-1 Nationals in the second.
