Before I close up shop and head to the airport to return home to snowy D.C., here's a final thought for everyone:
One week ago, the Nationals' roster included the following players:
-- Brian Schneider
-- Ryan Church
-- Jonathan Albaledejo
-- Billy Traber
-- Justin Jones
-- Glenn Gibson (minor leaguer, not on 40-man)
Those players have since been replaced by:
-- Lastings Milledge
-- Elijah Dukes
-- Tyler Clippard
-- Aaron Boone
-- Matt Whitney
-- Garrett Guzman
Improved team? It would appear so, but I'm interested to hear if others feel the same way.
So long from Nashville...

I'd agree, they've improved the roster talent wise. It'll be interesting to see how the personalities meld together though.

Oops, sorry about that. I've added Tyler Clippard to the list.

If I assume that a 23 year old will see the big picture, do a complete 180 degree turn from the way he has lived his life, will discard all his friends, will curb his addictive habits, will suddenly start respecting others and realize the world does not revolve around him, and address the demons of hate and anger.....then, yes, the Nationals are better off.
If the Nats revert to the clubhouse atmosphere prior to 2007, the organization will have take an very significant step backward. If Livan is brought back and LoDuca is added, it will speak volumes to what Kasten and Bowden really value.
