Join Sen. John Edwards in supporting this campaign

At a rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Senator John Edwards endorsed Barack Obama's candidacy for president.

Senator Edwards ran a strong, principled campaign for president, focusing on universal health care, bringing our troops home from Iraq, and eliminating poverty in America. And he ran in a way that reflected a conviction that we need to fundamentally change politics.

Like our campaign, Senator Edwards' campaign never accepted donations from Washington lobbyists or special interest PACs.

Welcome John Edwards to this campaign with an outpouring of the kind of grassroots support that is bringing our political process back to the people.

Make your donation online using the form below.

In case they hadn't heard the news that Obama's former rival had decided to endorse, the campaign also sent this text message:

Breaking: John Edwards just endorsed Barack Obama. Spread the word & ask 5 friends to join our movement for change by texting HOPE to 62262. Forward this msg!

Edwards this afternoon conveniently sent supporters on his presidential e-mail list his own fund-raising request for his "College for Everyone" scholarship pilot project in North Carolina.

Thank you, Mr. John Edwards, for endorsing Senator Obama!! Congratulations to Senator Obama!

Time for the media to stop catering to Hilliary's senseless claims that she is the most electable. If she is the most electable, howcome she is quite behind on states won, committed delegates, popular votes, and now the superdelegates?? She came into this race as the "inevitable nominee" and the "shoe-in" but guess what, the pundits and the media were wrong. Unfortunately Hilliary is mighty delusional and still believes she is the "inevitable nominee" and the "shoe-in"

Great! Looks like a winning team. I think we have a veep.

Good for John Edwards in making the right choice to endorse Barak Obama! Though I think Edwards would be a fine choice for vice president, I would prefer Jim Webb. Obama/Webb '08!

The rest of the world has laid all its hope in one person- one who will end Middle East Conflict, Assure Africa a chance in global scene, uphold religious equality and ABOVE ALL RETAIN AMERICAM IMAGE as the SUPERPOWER. The man is none other than, Senator Barack Obama. Cheers & keep up the strong fight. Let her mediocre till she realize that the market is all gone!

Congratulations Senator Obama. It took Edwards a while but he's with you!!! I like Webb as VP and Edwards as Secy of State perhaps
