INDIANAPOLIS — Sen. Barack Obama's campaign hasn't announced this to the press yet, but its Web site this morning includes that graphic above marking a major milestone.

It's a nice piece of news for Obama on primary day — Indiana and North Carolina Democrats are heading to the polls in big numbers.

The campaign blog includes this explainer from 5:45 a.m.:

On the eve of the Indiana and North Carolina primaries, we reached another incredible landmark: the 1,500,000th person made a donation to this campaign.

This has been an incredible journey so far. Along the way, we've heard from countless supporters who had never donated to a campaign before now, and inspiring stories of people who have challenged themselves to donate, to organize, to canvass and call to help build this movement.

It wasn't so long ago the campaign reached the 1 million donor mark.

We will be making a Positive step for our country by supporting Barrack Obama. It is time turn the page for our Country, to Restore Confidence in our Government,to bring All People together, to maintain the possiblity of living the American Dream, to have one Strong United States that the world can respect. Many people sense that Barrack Obama can lead our country and reach into these goals. Onward, Forward and Upward!

Super Delegates take notice! Hillary Clinton can never even come close to this!

In my 55 years, I haven't seen a candidate who held such promise as Obama for being the leader we need to restore America. He has succeeded incredibly well against the established Clinton machine, and I'm hoping today that the good people of Indiana and North Carolina see through the lies and distortions put out by the Clinton campaign and vote for Obama. This way, we can start the general campaign and join together to undo the damage done to this country by the present administration.

Why are the people so profoundly backing Obama, when the press is pounding on the fact that Obama can't appeal to Hillary's white lower class followers? The press has lost touch with the grass roots, and may even feel threatened that we the people are a force they can't control. The media try to exert their power and push "guilt by association" arguments. When historians look back, it will be with shame.

He has reached this level because people believe in him. His campaign is the definition of "grass roots". I am sure there has never been another candidate that has instilled the desire to contribute at such a level.

I stared out donating ot Obama because I had "Clinton fatigue", but the more I see of the man under adversity, the more I like him. He projects strength and confidence, and if the economy continues to go down the tubes we're going to need that in a president.

Anytime Hillary complains that she is being outspent 2 to 1, just remember that the real truth is she is being out-fundraised 2 to 1.

This is a paradigm shift in American politics...and it is about time!!!
