Indy Star chooses Clinton

INDIANAPOLIS — Sen. Hillary Clinton scooped up a key endorsement this morning, with the state's main paper, the Indianapolis Star, saying she was the best choice on Tuesday.

Under an "Experience makes Clinton better choice in primary" headline, the Star writes Clinton offers a "clear-eyed view of the way things are."

Also:

"Obama offers an attractive vision for the way things could be. He speaks eloquently of hope and change. He connects with voters, many who formerly felt disenfranchised, on a level few political leaders have attained."

"As impressive as Obama appears, he is still in his first term in the U.S. Senate, and only four years ago was serving as an Illinois state senator. His inexperience in high office is a liability."

"Clinton, in contrast, is well prepared for the rigors of the White House. She is tough, experienced and realistic about what can and cannot be accomplished on the world stage."

Both candidates met with the Star's editorial board. You can watch video from each here.

What experience? So if I need surgery and my doctor is busy, I'll just ask his wife to operate on me. Knowing the rigors of the White House than a White House page or secretary should run for president. Hillary is experienced at telling lies and pandering to the American people. Does she really think we are that stupid. I guess so, since this newspaper endorsed her.

experience in world stage, knowing health care reform 15 yrs ago, when the great orator was busy traveling to places that have not come out in the open yet. oh! was also busy following the sermons of the mentor.

What good is experience if it's the wrong kind? Hillary's so called experience doesn't impress me...well, it doesn't impress me favorably. I'd like to think that a "Hoosier" was a person from Indiana...not a repressed, stuck in the rut, Duh? type person that "Hoosier" usually is meant to imply. What a disappointment from the Indy Star. Come on people, rise above the "cattle" way of thinking...think for yourself and what is good for you and your future. Don't be lead down a worn path that leads to nowhere. Judge for yourself and vote wisely.
