Sen. Hillary Clinton's spokesman Howard Wolfson, on a conference call with reporters going on now, is saying Sen. Barack Obama is engaging in negative campaigning.
"Voters ought to know this is what they are doing," Mr. Wolfson said.
He pointed to a blog by top Obama supporter Gordon Fischer of Iowa, saying the Clinton-McCarthy comparison was unfair — to Joe McCarthy. Mr. Wolfson called it "disgusting."
B. Clinton questions Obama's patriotism. In repsonse, an Obama aide compared B. Clinton to Joe McCarthy. This is patently unfair. To McCarthy. When Joe McCarthy questioned others' patriotism, McCarthy (1) actually believed, at least apparently, the questions were genuine, and (2) he did so in order to build up, not tear down, his own party, the GOP. Bill Clinton cannot possibly seriously believe Obama is not a patriot, and cannot possibly be said to be helping — instead he is hurting — his own party. B. Clinton should never be forgiven. Period. This is a stain on his legacy, much worse, much deeper, than the one on Monica's blue dress.
This and other examples proves Mr. Obama "firmly owns the low road," Clinton spokesman Phil Singer said.

WHat did the blogger say that wasn't actually true? I mean I know the Clinton campaign wants to revise history and pretend none of this stuff happened...but GUESS WHAT? It sure as hell did! And the bloggers post is FAIR

While I disagree with Gordon Fischer and feel he is being unfair to the Clintons given their years of good work, the points he brings up to support his claim are relevant and arguably valid (though insufficient to warrant is conclusion).
It is certainly no more disgusting than Hillary Clinton adviser calling Bill Richardson Judas for endorsing Obama.
It was the Clintons that trashed Obama's record on Iraq as a 'fairy tale', brought up the past drug use and kindergarden essay in Iowa, played the race card in South Carolina, constantly shifted what they say really matters depending on what is convenient for them at the time, resorted to the kitchen sink strategy, used fear tactics on the populace, talked about Obama being the VP while he was clearly leading and promoted McCain as a better presidential candidate than Obama.
If the Clinton wants to try to make a case that Obama doesn't run as clean a campaign as the public seems to think, I'm open to hear their case.
To suggest, however, that Obama has run a dirtier campaign than Hillary Clinton at this stage is completely absurd and laughable.

Howard Wolfson shrills worst than the candidate he supports. He gives a bad name to all Shrillers and I hope they keep him around to turn off ALL DEMOCRATIC VOTERS.
