Key Pennsylvania superdelegate and leading antiwar Democrat Rep. John Murtha announced today he is backing Sen. Hillary Clinton.
“I know that [Clinton] continually reaches out for opinions and ideas, not just from our nation’s leaders, but from all Americans,” he said, according to his local paper.
Republicans surely will link the endorsement with Murtha's ethical troubles, but without question the longtime Congressman, who leads the Appropriations committee's defense subcommittee, is a big get.
Sen. Barack Obama has been scooping up endorsements from superdelegates in recent weeks as Clinton won few new backers.

Curious, Rep. John Murtha, a most disguised member of our House of Representatives from the Great State of Pennsylvania made an announcement that he was supporting Hillary Clinton because he has observed her for 15 years.
Why did you feel it was necessary to belittle him by insinuating what he said wasn"t as important as the super delegates of Obama's?
Rep. John Murtha is important. and of course this post will never see the light of day, because you will not answer my question.

Now ain't that like the pot calling the kettle black. One white collar criminal supporting another white collar criminal that has elected herself as President.
Put them both in the same cell and all Americans will benefit from the tax savings on pork barrel spending.

Anyone who sees Obama as "speeches, no substance" needs to seriously watch this in it's entirety and re-evaluate the criticism. This is the MOST substance any politician in this campaign has brought to the front lines.
Obama is tackling one of the most difficult issues in the history of our country, and should be commended

Murtha voted for the war and claimed that he was fooled by Bush. He said the war is lost. I believe he lost his mind his getting fooled again by Hittlery. He has been too long in Washington time for fresh blood.

I despise the term "antiwar", as it implies that a prowar crowd exists in the form of the Republican party.
Everyone is or should be antiwar. The Democrats come off as antidefense and that's exactly the way I see Murtha.
Now I'm thinking of voting Republican because the Democrats are scaring the hell outta me with the vast sweeping social changes they promise, when all I really want for my family and myself is security.
The coming presidential election will be the most important election in our history.
Our country could either rise again or continue to destroy itself from within as a result.
