Sen. Hillary Clinton's adviser Ann Lewis sent "A personal note" to female supporters last night targeting Sen. Barack Obama's "present" votes on abortion issues when he served in the Illinois state senate.
Already the issue has surfaced in mailers here in New Hampshire, and this e-mail, signed by 24 New Hampshire women who either work for pro-choice groups or who are activists involved in the issue, gives perhaps a preview of future ads against Obama in coming primary elections.
Lewis writes:
As a Democrat, I am pleased that our candidates are all pro-choice. But as someone who has been on the front lines fighting for women for years, I know that we need leaders we can count on to take the tough votes and do the hard work.Hillary's leadership on choice and record of standing up and fighting for women in this country and around the world is simply stronger, more consistent, and better than all others in the race.
Please read this letter from prominent New Hampshire legislators and choice advocates about what's at stake.
Sincerely,
Ann F. Lewis
That's followed by this note, which includes the line, "We support Hillary Clinton because she never ducked when choice was at stake."

Not sure if she is on the right message track. She tries to slam Obama about lobbyists and abortion when those are not issues of the time. She needs to say what she is going to do that is better on the economy, energy and immigration. Obama has proven that people are tired of blame politics and she and her husband sound arrogant and selfish. The is no middle ground in arrogance.
